Parcel rack system gives Shuttles a Motor Coach-style interior at an economical entry point

 

Hadley has made a name in 2013 with the rollout of new interior systems for the transit industry.  A big piece of that growth is their expansion into the shuttle market with the “Swan Collection”, their line of flexible interior systems.  Now Hadley reaches further into the shuttle segment by adding their newest version of Swan, the “Swan Select” to provide that high-end coach experience to even the smallest of shuttle buses.

Built on the original Swan parcel rack base, the Select model utilizes the existing aisle lighting channels to provide economical passenger amenities to shuttle buses. The flexible configuration of Hadley’s SWAN systems make it possible to include individual passenger reading lights, integrated blue nightlights, speakers, and even LED aisle lighting at significant savings compared to traditional configurations.

The lighting and switches are incorporated into linear channels along each edge of the rack, just below the handrail giving each passenger control of their own fixed reading lamps. A separate master control operated by the driver can override the system in the same way that many upscale transit buses and most Motor Coach interiors are configured.

As with all of the Swan interiors, the Swan Select is available as an OEM specified system as well as an affordable aftermarket retrofit kit. The components are designed for easy installation and convenient access to service and maintain during the life of the bus.

The Swan Collection of interior systems, including the new Swan Select will be installed on buses and displayed at Ameritrans Bus Company (ABC) booth #1017, during the BusCon Exposition September 9 – 11, 2013. BusCon, the exposition for buses and shuttles, is held at Navy Pier in Chicago, IL.

Both the Swan™ Constellation and Hadley’s Wave™ interior systems are installed as part of the Turtle Top exhibit at booth #101. This multiple showcase experience at BusCon will give attendees several opportunities to see the flexibility of Hadley’s growing collection of interior systems.
